The Suzuki eVX

The Japanese firm have revealed their new all-electric SUV, the 'eVX' which will propel Suzuki into a new era.

Suzuki don't currently boast a fully-electric model in their range. There are a variety of mild-hybrid vehicles available, such as the Vitara and S-Cross, along with plug-in hybrids in the form of the Suzuki Across.

However, that looks like it's all about to change with the introduction of the eVX following it's grand unveiling at last week's Auto Expo 2023 in Delhi, India.

You may have to wait a little longer before getting your hands on one though as Suzuki have predicted that this will reach the global market in 2025.

Suzuki have claimed that one thing they want to achieve with the launch of the eVX is the continuation of the company's all-wheel drive, as it aims to proceed with vehicles such as the Vitara ALLGRIP.

A Suzuki spokesperson explains:

“The eVX is a BEV model that combines Suzuki’s strong 4x4 DNA with the advanced features of the latest BEVs.

“The exterior is designed to be instantly recognizable as a Suzuki SUV. In addition, it aims to carry forward the brand’s 4x4 legacy into the new electric era to deliver a true Suzuki SUV driving experience.

Additional information about the new model are limited currently, but Suzuki aims for the eVX to have a range of up to 341 miles between charges. Also, the EV vehicle will be slightly more compact than the Across, but larger than the Vitara.
