20 October 2022

After teasing for months, Polestar have finally revealed in full the all new Polestar 3.

Following the success of their previous models, the 1 and 2, the all new Polestar 3 has finally been revealed in full.

Polestar - a venture by Sweden's Volvo and China's Geely have introduced a unique, sharp and modern design with the '3', combined with its excellent range, it is certainly something to get excited about.

Polestar 3 Design

The front of the model adopts Polestar's trademark 'Thor's Hammer' headlights, along with a floating wing to enhance the smoothness of airflow over the vehicle.

Additionally, the 3's side profile looks a lot sleeker than the solid '2' and adopts a large wing at the rear to improve the aerodynamics of the car. Similarly to the '2', the stern of the vehicle embraces a full-width lighting system to complete a smooth efficient design.

Polestar 3 Interior

Similarly to the Polestar 2, the '3' has a largely minimalistic dashboard with a large touchscreen centrally, powered by Google software allowing users to access applications such as Google Maps and Spotify. The model doesn't take minimalism to the extreme as much as models such as the Tesla Model Y, still featuromg physical buttons for adjusting stereo volume etc.

Polestar 3 Performance and Range

The Polestar 3 gets a 111kWh battery which results in up to 379 miles of range, triumping over rivals such as the BMW IX's range of 257 miles and even slighltly more than that of a Tesla Model 3 Long Range, which claims to have a range of 374 miles.

Performance wise, the Polestar 3 boasts 489hp and 840Nm of torque thanks to a dual motor set up as standard. This enables the '3' to sprint from 0-60mph in a mere 5 seconds, if this isn't fast enough for you, the Performance Pack takes the time down to 4.7 seconds.
